2023 Global Apparel Material Development Intern
I worked with the Advanced Creation team for Global Sports Apparel within Global Apparel Material Development Team on a cross-function digital and physical textile development project. I focused specifically on recommending a process for integrating physical and digital development workflows.
Due to a non-disclosure agreement, I am unable to share details of my project at this time, but I am honored to have had a hand in creating the future of Nike and the future of sport.
I will be returning full time in August 2024 as a Material Developer 1.
Intern Experience
I was blown away by the celebration of individuality across the company, the depth and variety of expertise and background within apparel functions, and the opportunity for collaboration.
Combine
On July 20th my team, All for One, took the Stanford Theater stage at Nike WHQ to present our Combine Capstone. This cross-functional pitch competition brought together all 2023 Nike, Jordan, and Converse interns. Our team took first place out of 22 competing teams.
We pitched an athlete*, wellness, and data-driven solution to America’s Third Place decline. I can’t wait to see where Nike leads the future and which of our ideas inspire action… you might see some of our idea included in Nike Studios.
